HMWSSB Officials have removed 4 sewage illegal connections from apartments that were installed without any permission from the Water Board. Notices have also been served to the owners of another four buildings.
In Madhapur, Kakatiya Hills, under the HMWSSB Water Board’s O&M Division-15, some apartment owners had illegally taken sewage pipeline connections without permission. Due to the excessive sewage flowing from these connections, the main road was frequently experiencing sewage overflow. This issue came to light during a recent visit by local officials. Following the Managing Director’s orders, officials today removed the sewage pipeline connections of four apartments and issued notices to the owners of another four buildings.
MD Ashok Reddy appealed to consumers to regularize their illegal connections water and sewage. He also reiterated that hospitals, hotels, bakeries, malls, and other commercial and multi-story building complexes must compulsorily install silt chambers.
Officials warned that criminal cases would be registered against anyone who illegally takes drinking water or sewage pipeline connections without permission from the Water Board authorities. If anyone identifies any illegal water or sewage connections, they can inform the Water Board’s vigilance team through the phone numbers 9989998100 and 9989987135.
