Hyderabad | June 30, 2025 – T. Raja Singh Resigns from BJP. In a major development that could shake the political landscape of Telangana, Goshamahal MLA and firebrand leader T. Raja Singh has officially resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His exit comes amid reports of the central leadership’s decision to appoint N. Ramchander Rao as the new president of the BJP Telangana unit.
“Shocked and Disappointed,” Says before T. Raja Singh Resigns
In his resignation letter addressed to Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Raja Singh expressed “shock and disappointment” over the BJP high command’s move. He believes that this decision ignores the sentiments of lakhs of grassroots BJP workers and could severely affect the party’s prospects in Telangana.
“I am deeply hurt by the central leadership’s decision. It demoralizes lakhs of karyakartas who have fought hard for the party’s presence in Telangana,” said Raja Singh in an emotional address to the media.
The silence of many should not be mistaken for agreement.

I speak not just for myself, but for countless karyakartas and voters who stood with us with faith, and who today feel let down.

Allegations of Internal Conspiracy
Singh didn’t mince words when accusing certain factions within the BJP of manipulating the leadership in Delhi. According to him, these groups have prioritized their personal interests over the party’s growth and the Hindutva cause in Telangana.
This is not the first time internal conflicts have surfaced within the BJP’s Telangana unit, but Raja Singh’s resignation amplifies the growing divide.
Continued Commitment to Hindutva
Despite severing ties with the BJP, Raja Singh has made it clear that his ideological stance remains unchanged.
“I am stepping away from the BJP, but not from my commitment to Hindutva and the welfare of Hindus in Telangana. My struggle for the people and my constituency will continue,” he affirmed.
Known for his outspoken Hindutva advocacy, Raja Singh’s political future is now a topic of wide speculation. Will he float his own party? Join another political outfit? Or lead a new Hindutva front? The coming weeks are likely to reveal his next moves.

What Lies Ahead for Telangana BJP?
The BJP’s internal leadership choices have often been marred by controversy, but losing a high-profile leader like Raja Singh just months ahead of crucial political battles could dent the party’s position in Telangana.
His resignation letter has also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President J. P. Nadda to reconsider their leadership decisions for the state’s unit.
Political analysts believe that if the BJP fails to manage this crisis, opposition parties like the Congress and BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) could capitalize on the BJP’s internal rift. T. Raja Singh’s resignation marks a significant turning point in Telangana’s political scenario. Whether this is a tactical move or the beginning of a larger rebellion within the BJP remains to be seen.
